Check your calendar. It's 7 months until Election Day. 

We're collecting the petitions that we need to get on the ballot. We're going door to door in the district, handing out vote-by-mail requests and campaign literature. We're going to parades, to rallies, to sports events. 

And . . . we're raising money for the campaign. 

Why now? Because if we wait until September or October, it will be too late. 

In the last election, the Koch Brothers, the health insurance companies and the national Republican Party hit me with $5 million in blistering negative ads on TV - all in the last two months of the campaign. Like the firebombing of Dresden. Will it happen again? I don't know. But we have to be prepared.
